David leads the David Linard Trio, which will release its first album soon as a part of the Owl Studios Emerging Jazz Artist Project Award, which they won in September 2011. The group consists of bassist Nick Tucker and drummer Ben Lumsdaine. David composed all new music for the album, with inspiration from artists such as Ahmad Jamal, Esbjorn Svenson Trio, Herbie Hancock.
